Walk along the grounds of the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens (also known as Villa Vizcaya) - the largest mansion in Miami! This 20th century villa is located in the refined Coconut Grove neighborhood, overlooking the waters of Deering Channel.

The former home of businessman and socialite James Deering is now one of the city’s top historical landmarks with its stunning Veneto and Tuscan-inspired architecture and landscaping where visitors can admire the 38,000-ft mansion's large array of rooms decorated with vintage furniture and decor.

On March 22, 1971 the mansion was robbed by three individuals from New York City who had stolen roughly $1.5 million worth of artworks and silver items that were of historical value. The trio of thieves were arrested on March 25, 1971 and charged with stolen property and possession of dangerous weapons.

While visiting, we highly recommend a romantic stroll through the grounds extensive Italian Renaissance-inspired gardens as depicted in several Hollywood blockbuster movies such as Iron Man 3, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and The Money Pit.

The estate is also popularly used as the location for weddings and other special events due to its stunning architecture and natural beauty. It is even a favored site in the area for photographs of women celebrating their quinceanera (15th birthday), and often used as the setting for the South Florida filming of the reality show Four Weddings.
