What are some things you think of when you think of Vegas? Casinos. The Strip. Fremont Street. Right? Sin City is synonymous with luxury and world-class entertainment. But what most tourists don't know about Vegas is that it has another side of off-beat whimsy. Downtown Container Park is one such place, located just a block from the Fremont Street Experience.

What to Know

Container Park is an open-air shopping and amusement center nestled just minutes from the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas. This unique complex is made of shipping containers piled up on top of each other (hence the name.) If you like eccentric and whimsical places, Container Park is a must-visit! With gourmet diners, a play area, retail shops, restaurants, and bars, this attraction has it all! Visit with your family and be welcomed by a giant praying mantis sculpture exhaling fire from its antennae. Then, share a meal with a view at Downtown Terrace.

Sugar Shop Candy And Gifts is extremely popular among kids. They'll even let you fill up your own jar with vintage sweets of your choice! Indulge in hot Cheetos sandwiches and frozen rose drinks at the Bin 702 bar. Stock up on teas, soaps, and elixirs at Alchemical Cabinet. Marvet at pop culture art and check out cool enamel pins at House of 1000 Pins. If you want a custom-printed t-shirt, KRP Boutique is the place to go! For some nature therapy, visit Plant Haven. Catch free concerts on the main stage while your kids play in The Treehouse which has a 33-foot-tall slide, massive foam building blocks, and other things that attract childlike wonder!

How to Get There

You can find the Downtown Container Park right in the middle of all the action at 707 Fremont Street, nestled between Fremont Street and S. 7th Street in Downtown Las Vegas. Plus, it's super easy to get to from the I15 FWY and the 93/95 FWY, so whether you're coming from Summerlin or Henderson, you'll be there in just minutes! If you're in Downtown Las Vegas, you can walk to the park. There's a public shuttle for those coming from the Strip, The Deuce.

The best way to explore Fremont Street and its surrounding hotspots is by booking a Guided Tour of Fremont Street which features Container Park, Plaza Hotel & Casino, Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Mob Museum, Fremont Street Experience, and more! See the dazzling gambling nightlife of Vegas, learn about the history of organized crime, watch spectacular light shows, shop at eccentric places, and do so much more with this small-group tour!

Best Time to Visit

Container Park is a year-round attraction so you have the luxury of visiting it whenever you want. Make this visit a must in your Fremont Street Experience visit, as the park is located just 5 minutes away from Fremont Street. A Guided Night Tour of Fremont Street District is the best way to see this park as a part of a bigger tour package. Container Park only lets in adults (18+) after 9:00 pm so if you're bringing your kids along with you, make sure to visit before this time!
