Jared Padalecki

Born July 19, 1982, in San Antonio, Texas Jared Tristan Padalecki is known for playing Sam Winchester in the hit TV series Supernatural. Growing up in Texas he rose to fame in the early 2000s after his performances in Gilmore Girls, New York Minutes, and House of Wax.

He had originally planned to study at the University of Texas upon completing high school but instead decided to move to California to launch his career. After marrying his co-star Genevieve and having three children the couple now resides in Texas.

Michelle Rodriguez

American actress and screenwriter Mayte Michelle Rodriguez, born July 12, 1978, was raised and grew up in San Antonio, Texas by her Dominican mother and Puerto Rican father.

Most famous for her role as Letty in the Fast and Furious franchise and as Ana Lucia Cortez in the hit television show Lost, Michelle called San Antonio home until the age of eight when she moved to the Dominican Republic at age twelve.

Joan Crawford

Joan Crawford (born Lucille Fay LeSueur), ‘Queen of the Movies’ was born in San Antonio, the year is uncertain as some reports date between the years 1907-1908, but Crawford herself cited 1908 on her tombstone.

Starting off her fame working as a dancer for traveling theatre companies, Crawford, after debuting on Broadway, was signed to a motion picture contract in 1925 and continued as an actress up until retiring from the screen in 1970 and passing away in 1977.

Carol Burnett

Comic legend Carol Burnett was born on April 26, 1933, in San Antonio, Texas where she resided until she was seven. She is very well known for her groundbreaking comedy variety show The Carol Burnett Show - the first of its kind to be hosted by a woman.

Burnett moved from San Antonio to Hollywood with her grandmother but often reflects on her good memories from living in the River City. She returned to her childhood home on West Commerce Street in 2019 after her one-woman show at the Tobin Center had sold out.

Henry Thomas

Well known for his role in the iconic hit movie E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Henry Thomas was born September 9, 1971.

While residing in the River City he attended East Central High School and Blinn College and played guitar for a San Antonio Band titled The Blue Heelers in the 1990s.

Shameless and Reba actor, Steve Howey, was born July 2, 1977, in San Antonio, however, did not stay long as he spent most of his childhood on a boat with his parents sailing up and down the Pacific Coast.

Latin American film and television actor/ stand-up comedian, Emilio Rivera was born on February 24, 1961, in San Antonio. Best known for his role as Marcus Alvarez in Sons of Anarchy and spin-off Mayans M.C. he often portrays criminals and law enforcement officers.
