Mount Bonnell is one of the most visited sites in Austin. The limestone height stands at 775 ft above sea level and is considered to be the highest point within Austin City Limits. It has been a popular sightseeing destination since the mid-19th century, and continues to attract tourists and locals for mountain biking, hiking, and more. In fact, it’s a favorite for mountain bikers, and a Mount Bonnell hike is on the bucket list of many tourists. There is a 102-stair climb to the viewing deck and pavilion, which provides an incredible view of Austin.
